License plates

Cars, vans, pickups, trucks and buses must have plates on both the front and back of the vehicle.

Personalized and specialized plates

Personalized plates

These plates are for passenger vehicles, motorcycles, mopeds, 1-ton pick-ups and self-propelled recreational vehicles.

They have the same background as standard plates.

Specialized plates

These plates are for special associations or organizations such as military, collector or critical habitat.

Specialized plates have special backgrounds.

    Disability plates

    You can have disability plates on cars, vans, pickups, self-propelled recreational vehicles, 1-ton pickups and motorcycles.

    Qualifications

    The applicant must be one of the following:

    • A person with a permanent disability who is the owner or primary operator of the vehicle the plates will be on.
    • The custodial parent or guardian applying for a minor with a permanent disability.
    • The owner of a rental vehicle modified for and only used by people with permanent physical disabilities.

    Fees

    • Double plates: $28.50
    • Single: $26.50

    Drop off or mail application

    Submit your application and check or money order at one of our drop off locations, or by mail to one of our locations.

    In person application
