Hunting and fishing licenses

Unless exempt, all individuals 16 and older must purchase a license to hunt and fish in Minnesota. Fishing licenses are valid from March 1 to April 30 the following year and hunting licenses are valid from March 1 to February 28 the following year.

Cross-country ski pass

Anyone over the age of 16 on ski trails in state parks, trails or forests, or in grant-in-aid trails, must have a Minnesota ski pass. You must sign your pass and carry it with you when skiing.

Cost

  • Daily pass: $6
  • Season pass: $20 (effective July 1 to June 30 of following year, i.e. 07/01/2010 – 06/30/2011)
  • 3-season pass: $55 (effective July 1 to June 30 of third year, i.e. 07/01/2010 – 06/30/2013)
