COVID-19 response

Hennepin County is starting a phased approach to reopen services. A gradual return to in-person services will start with appointment-based services. Anyone without an appointment will be asked to leave. No walk-in services will be provided .

All staff and customers are required to wear face coverings and follow social distancing guidelines. If you are COVID-positive or symptomatic do not enter county facilities.

Hunting and fishing licenses

Unless exempt, all individuals 16 and older must purchase a license to hunt and fish in Minnesota. Fishing licenses are valid from March 1 to April 30 the following year and hunting licenses are valid from March 1 to February 28 the following year.

Additional information

Cross-country ski pass

Anyone over the age of 16 on ski trails in state parks or forests or on state or grant-in-aid trails must have a Minnesota ski pass. You must sign your pass and carry it with you when skiing.

Cost

  • Daily pass: $6
  • Season pass: $20 (effective July 1 to June 30 of following year, i.e. 07/01/2010 - 06/30/2011)
  • 3-season pass: $55 (effective July 1 to June 30 of third year, i.e. 07/01/2010 - 06/30/2013)
