Impacts

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic through the end of 2021, Hennepin County distributed more than $50 million of emergency rent assistance to Hennepin County residents impacted by the pandemic from it's CARES Act and Emergency Rental Assistance allocations.

We worked with a broad range of service organizations, nonprofits and community partners to distribute this funding to households in need, with special focus on reaching communities most vulnerable to the economic impacts of COVID-19.

The Emergency Housing Assistance map linked below is intended to track the impacts of this funding.
