Pioneer Trail safety improvements

County Road 123 in Greenfield and Hanover

Hennepin County will repave the roadway and replace or line culverts in poor condition on Pioneer Trail (County Road 123) between Woodland Trail (County Road 10) and 109th Avenue (County Road 19). We will also replace the existing bypass lane at Settlers Lane with a dedicated left turn lane.

Construction updates
We will share more information on traffic impacts as we get closer to the start of construction, tentatively scheduled to begin in summer 2026.
Project information
When this project is complete, people will notice a smoother and safer road for everyone that uses it. The new/repaired culverts will also help prevent flooding and erosion.
