About the intersection
This is a safety project at the intersection of Brooklyn Boulevard (County Road 152) and Welcome Avenue in Brooklyn Park. The goal of the project is to improve safety for all types of travel, particularly those walking and rolling, through replacement of the traffic signal, construction of curb extensions, realignment of pedestrian crossings, lighting and ADA upgrades, and realignment of medians to improve left turn offsets.

Anticipated project timeline
The project team will spend the fall engaging with residents, businesses and community members of the intersection about the project. With the help of your feedback and other engineering considerations, the team will spend 2025 finalizing the designs before work begins in the 2026 construction season.
