Youth Connection Center

The Youth Connection Center (YCC) is a safe and supervised space for youth ages 10 through 17 to connect with resources and support, and for law enforcement to facilitate connections to services.

This center is a collaboration between Hennepin County, the City of Minneapolis and The Price Dynamic.

Hours

3 p.m. to 3 a.m. Thursdays through Saturdays, and Sundays noon to 4 p.m.

Open for walk-ins from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays, and noon to 3 p.m. on Sundays.

How it works

The Youth Connection Center is a resource for law enforcement to bring youth who are picked up for status or low-level offenses, in order to get them connected to family and social service resources.

Youth and their families can also walk in and receive services, with an emphasis on connection with family and existing resources in the community.

Services

Youth who visit the Youth Connection Center receive:

Risk and needs screening
Mental health screening and connections to on-going mental health therapy
Assistance with parental and guardian involvement
Enrichment and educational activities
Information about rights and responsibilities
Connections to resources and referrals to community services
Aftercare services tailored to the unique needs of each youth, including:
- Short-term services for youth in crisis
- Ongoing one-on-one support for youth and families who need additional services
Family mediation services
