Drop-off facilities open with limited operations

Hennepin County’s Drop-Off Facilities in Brooklyn Park and Bloomington are open with limited operations and new safety procedures due to COVID-19. Find more information about drop-off facilities.

Changes to materials accepted: No mattresses. No TVs or electronics that weigh more than 50 lbs.

Select appliances accepted: microwaves, water coolers, sump pumps, garbage disposals, dehumidifiers. $15/each. 

NO other appliances accepted.

Grills in working condition can be given away or sold.


Grills may be accepted and redeemable at a scrap metal recycler.

Materials preparation

Remove all non-metal parts and propane cylinders first. Non-metal grill pieces can be put in the garbage.

Propane tanks from gas grills must be recycled separately at a business that accepts them for recycling; Hennepin County does not accept them.

Drop-off facilities do not accept:

No propane tanks from gas grills.
