Avocado intake linked to lower heart attack risk

Eating at least two servings of avocado per week was associated with 21% lower risk of a heart attack compared with little or no consumption, researchers reported in the Journal of the American Heart Association. The study, which included more than 68,000 women and 41,000 men, found avocado intake was not associated with a reduced risk of stroke.
