Mileage and parking reimbursement

Reimbursement rates

Mileage

  • Effective January 1, 2025: 70 cents per mile
  • Effective January 1, 2024: 67 cents per mile

Parking

  • Maximum per park with receipt within downtown Minneapolis – actual expense up to $20 per park
  • Maximum per park with receipt outside of downtown Minneapolis – actual expense
  • Maximum per park without receipt – actual expense up to $5 per park
  • Maximum monthly parking contract rate – actual cost up to $220 per month

Mileage and parking reimbursement

County employees use APEX to request mileage and parking reimbursement. For more information, see the Mileage and Parking Reimbursement policy in the county administrative manual (must have network access).

Reminder: Mileage and parking reimbursement requests must be submitted within 30 days after the end of the month for which there are claimed expenses. For example, March expenses are due by April 30.

Automobile required

Some county employees are required to have an automobile routinely available for county business. For more information, see the Automobile Required policy in the county administrative manual (must have network access).

  • Parking facilities with daily rates within the county reimbursement rate (PDF)
