Flu shots, COVID-19 and other routine vaccinations
The best way to protect yourself from a variety of illnesses is to get vaccinated.
Many routine vaccinations are covered at no cost to employees with county health insurance. Check with your health care provider and PreferredOne for recommended vaccinations and insurance coverage. Visit the CDC website to learn more about vaccines and immunization schedules:
Earning points for vaccinations
You can earn 250 wellness points per vaccination for up to three vaccinations between November 1, 2020 and October 31, 2021. This can include the flu shot and both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
To receive points you must document your vaccination in your Virgin Pulse account. Watch this 2-minute video on how to document your vaccination using the Virgin Pulse mobile app – or follow these steps:
- Log in to your Virgin Pulse account (for best outcomes, use a browser other than Internet Explorer)
- Click on Benefits
- Search "vaccination"
- Click on Self-document a vaccination, and then Start now
- Complete the form to receive your wellness points
Flu shots are covered at no cost to employees with county health insurance and their covered dependents.
Get a flu shot at your doctor's office or at one of the following pharmacies. Make sure to show the pharmacist your PreferredOne ID card and tell them to send the claim for the flu shot to PreferredOne (the health plan) and not Navitus (the pharmacy plan).
