Love Local campaign

Shop local, love where you live marketing campaign

The Love Local campaign is all about celebrating and supporting local businesses by encouraging residents to shop locally and invest in their community. Small local businesses are the backbone of our economy and the heart of our communities. Showing them love, especially during the holiday shopping season, helps keep Hennepin County communities vibrant places for everyone to live, visit, shop, and do business.

Hennepin County partners with multiple cities across the county on the Love Local marketing campaign. It features several ways to highlight small businesses during the busy holiday shopping season, including print and digital ads to remind shoppers to shop, dine, and frequent businesses in their own community. 'Love Local' campaign materials are a visible celebration of local business and a way for businesses to show their community pride.

How to participate

Give local establishments your business year-round, and especially during the holiday shopping season. Encourage your friends and acquaintance to do the same!

Businesses, display your local pride with a window cling

If you are a locally owned business, make sure your customers know and show them you’re an integral part of the community with a Love Local window cling.
