Drop-off facilities open with limited operations

Hennepin County’s Drop-Off Facilities in Brooklyn Park and Bloomington are open with limited operations and new safety procedures due to COVID-19. Find more information about drop-off facilities.

Changes to materials accepted: No mattresses. No TVs or electronics that weigh more than 50 lbs.

Select appliances accepted: microwaves, water coolers, sump pumps, garbage disposals, dehumidifiers. $15/each. 

NO other appliances accepted.

Sell or give away

If your safe is in working condition, sell it or give it away.

Repair

If your safe is broken, repair it at a locksmith.

Other disposal options

Recycle

If your safe is metal, it may be accepted by a scrap metal recycler for redemption.

Put in garbage

Safes may be put in the garbage. Check with your waste hauler or see landfills and transfer stations for drop-off options.
