Drop-off facilities open with limited operations

Hennepin County’s Drop-Off Facilities in Brooklyn Park and Bloomington are open with limited operations and new safety procedures due to COVID-19. Find more information about drop-off facilities.

Changes to materials accepted: No mattresses. No TVs or electronics that weigh more than 50 lbs.

Select appliances accepted: microwaves, water coolers, sump pumps, garbage disposals, dehumidifiers. $15/each. 

NO other appliances accepted.

Recommended disposal options

Give away or sell

Large plastic items include plastic furniture, landscape edging, kiddie pools and landscape pond liners. Large plastic items that are in good shape may be given away or sold.


Other disposal options

Put in the garbage

Large plastic items should be put in the garbage. They are not recyclable. Check with your waste hauler or see landfills and transfer stations for drop-off options.
