Drop-off facilities open with limited operations

Hennepin County’s Drop-Off Facilities in Brooklyn Park and Bloomington are open with limited operations and new safety procedures due to COVID-19. Find more information about drop-off facilities.

Changes to materials accepted: No mattresses. No TVs or electronics that weigh more than 50 lbs.

Select appliances accepted: microwaves, water coolers, sump pumps, garbage disposals, dehumidifiers. $15/each. 

NO other appliances accepted.

Paint and paint cans: oil-based paint

Recommended disposal options


Recycle unused paint at a PaintCare retail drop-off site near you. Products must be in original containers with a label and secure lid. Containers must be no larger than 5 gallons. Call retailers first for requirements.

Drop-off limit

Three 5-gallon pails of oil-based paint per household per 12 month period. This limit does not apply to 1-gallon-sized cans.

Drop-off facilities do not accept:

No paint or paint cans used for business purposes, including home businesses and property managers.
