If the iron works, give it away, sell it or donate it to Arc’s Value Village.

Clothes irons may be put in the garbage.

Recycling mangling irons

Mangling irons with all non-metal parts remove may be accepted at a scrap metal recycler. The non-metal pieces may be put in the garbage.

Drop-off facilities accept:

Clothing irons manufactured before 1990, with automatic shut offs, that may contain mercury. Mangling irons are accepted for scrap metal recycling.
