Drop-off facilities open with limited operations

Hennepin County’s Drop-Off Facilities in Brooklyn Park and Bloomington are open with limited operations and new safety procedures due to COVID-19. Find more information about drop-off facilities.

Changes to materials accepted: No mattresses. No TVs or electronics that weigh more than 50 lbs.

Select appliances accepted: microwaves, water coolers, sump pumps, garbage disposals, dehumidifiers. $15/each. 

NO other appliances accepted.

Drop-off facilities accept:

Small amounts of fuel oil. Do not put in the garbage – fuel oil is banned from the garbage in Minnesota.

Drop-off limit

Three containers that are five-gallon-sized or less. Containers must be labeled with the contents.

Drop-off facilities do not accept:

Full fuel oil tanks. See tanks for removal information.

Other disposal options

Empty tanks: recycle

Empty fuel oil tanks can be taken to a scrap metal recycler.
