Drop-off facilities open with limited operations

Hennepin County’s Drop-Off Facilities in Brooklyn Park and Bloomington are open with limited operations and new safety procedures due to COVID-19. Find more information about drop-off facilities.

Changes to materials accepted: No mattresses. No TVs or electronics that weigh more than 50 lbs.

Select appliances accepted: microwaves, water coolers, sump pumps, garbage disposals, dehumidifiers. $15/each. 

NO other appliances accepted.

Get assistance

Boilers may contain asbestos and need to be disposed of properly. If you're having it replaced, check with your service provider to find out if they have a take-back program. The Minnesota Department of Health maintains a list of licensed asbestos contractors and has information about asbestos and proper removal procedures.

Recycle metal parts

Metal parts that do not contain asbestos may be brought to and redeemed at a scrap metal recycler.
