From squad cars to snowplows

The county uses a variety of equipment to serve residents

Managing specialized equipment

Hennepin County purchases and maintains a wide variety of equipment that helps us do our day-to-day work.

We minimize environmental impacts by using alternative fuels, including biodiesel and E85, and anti-idling equipment whenever possible. The county is also considering upcoming green technology, like compressed natural gas, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and hybrid/electric vehicles. All to better and more efficiently serve residents.
