Lake Minnetonka bridge repair

This summer, Hennepin County will be conducting repair work on multiple bridges in Lake Minnetonka communities. This work is necessary to ensure the safety and increase the lifespan of these bridges.

Repairs will be staggered throughout the summer. Depending on the project, residents can expect narrow lanes, lane shifts, major delays, and - in some cases - full closures.

County Road 125 bridge closures

Starting this July, crews will begin repair work on three separate bridges of County Road 125 in Mound and Spring Lake. Those locations along are:

Bartlett Boulevard over the Lost Lake Channel in Mound
Wilshire Boulevard over the Cooks Bay Channel in Mound
Interlachen Road over the Spring Park Channel in Spring Park

Work is expected to take two to four weeks to complete for each bridge. A full closure is necessary to complete repairs. Only one bridge will be closed at a time.

Detour information

Bridges will be closed entirely during repair work. Please follow the signed detour for each closure.

Shoreline Drive bridge closure

This July, crews will begin bridge deck overlay work on the Shoreline Drive bridge (County Road 15) over the BNSF railroad tracks in Wayzata. This work involves milling the roadway and making repairs to ensure the longevity of the bridge.

Shoreline Drive will remain open to traffic for the duration of the project, but people driving should expect narrow lanes, lane shifts, and major delays.
