Elm Creek Road bridge to close for soil testing

On Monday, August 14, the Elm Creek Road bridge (County Road 202) at the Elm Creek Park Reserve in Dayton will close temporarily for soil testing.

The work will include identifying soil types, as well as measuring its strength, density, compaction and sand content. The data will help engineers as they design a new bridge for the crossing.

The closure is expected to last for three days and the bridge will reopen on Friday evening, August 18, weather permitting.

Road users will need to use alternative routes during this closure.
