County Road 26 in Minnetrista

Hennepin County will improve County Road 26 from the county line to Meadowview Lane (County Road 110). Improvements include paving and repairing or replacing six pipe culverts. The box culvert bridge over Painter Creek will be replaced. Work will be completed in 2024.

Ongoing and upcoming work

East section

Through October, County Road 26 is closed between County Road 92 and Meadowview Lane (County Road 110).

Local traffic will be maintained for residents.
Through traffic should follow the posted detour using Meadowview Lane (County Road 110), Watertown Road (County Road 6), County Road 92.

West section

Through October, crews will repave County Road 26 from the Wright/Hennepin county line to County Road 92

Crews will work on one side of the road at a time, and traffic will be brought through the project area using flaggers.

Local residents will have access, but may experience brief delays. Be alert for traffic control personnel and allow extra time.

Pavement improvements

We will improve pavement on County Road 26, from the west county line to Meadowview Lane (County Road 110).

East section, approximately 3 miles between County Road 92 and Meadowview Lane (County Road 110)

West section, approximately 1.25 miles between the Wright/Hennepin county line and County Road 92

Pipe culvert replacements—completed

We have repaired or replaced 6 deteriorating pipe culverts.

Box culvert bridge replacement—completed

We have replaced the box culvert bridge over Painter Creek in Minnetrista.
