Community race
You can earn wellness points for participating in an organized race in your community. You must document your participation in your Live Well account to receive points.
Examples of races that are eligible:
- 5k walk, run, handcycle or push-rim
- 10k walk, run, handcycle or push-rim
- Half-marathon or marathon
- Sprint or full-length triathlon
- Nordic/Cross-country skiing race
- Road or mountain bike race
- Obstacle race
- Organized virtual races
Examples of in-person or virtual events that are not eligible (you can log these activities in Record a Healthy Habit section in Live Well):
- Participating in sports game or league
- Attending a health fair or conference
- Unorganized walks
The race must be a professionally organized event and you must have finished the race between November 1, 2023, and October 31, 2024. Retain proof of race participation.
Record your race completion for points
- Log in to your umr.com account
- Click the "Wellness activity center" tile at the bottom of the home page, then "Get started"
- Find the "Log your activities and events" section and scroll to "Hennepin sponsored event or community race"
- Click "Record" and complete the form
You will see your points in your "Rewards" section right away.
You can also download the UMR mobile app to access Live Well and record your participation. Once logged in to the app, select "Wellness tools" from the main menu to get started.
