Public involvement As part of the planning for this repaving project, the county, city, and neighborhood residents have formed a task force. The goals of this task force are to develop a short-term and long-term vision for improved safety and comfort along the corridor. The task force study group includes representatives from each of the seven neighborhoods in the Broadway Street Northeast corridor. The study group meetings are also open to all interested residents - contact any of the study contacts for more information. Transportation study Since fall 2018, Hennepin County and partners have been working on a corridor study of ways to improve safety for all people using this road. The study identified design needs and concepts. More than 1,000 participants have provided input for this project through surveys, task force meetings, and an open house.
