Supported Decision Making
When you work with Adult Representation Services, our goal is to maximize self-sufficiency and autonomy of individuals at risk for guardianship through the use of supported decision-making (SDM) tools.
We can:
- Work with you to identify trusted supporters who will help you make decisions on issues that are important to you
- Work with your trusted supporters to create arrangements that enable you to retain as many of your rights as possible
- At your request, educate your trusted supporters about your rights and how to honor your preferences
- Collaborate with a trusted agent to make decisions based on your preferences
Eligibility:
- Those who are interested in working with ARS must meet income eligibility requirements and reside in Hennepin County.
