A Record 112 Win Wellness by Design Awards in 2010
A record number of schools and worksites have won 2010 Hennepin County Wellness by Design Awards for excellence in promoting school and worksite wellness.
The 45 winning schools (see Wellness by Design Winners), which were more than double the number achieving Wellness by Design status in 2009, were honored during ceremonies at school staff meetings or assemblies this spring. Sixty-seven worksites were honored at a June 17 award ceremony at the Earle Brown Heritage Center in Brooklyn Center.
See that your school or worksite receives the attention it deserves by applying for a Wellness by Design Award! Applications will be accepted again in first quarter 2011. Since 2006, Hennepin County has awarded nearly 300 Wellness by Design Awards to schools and worksites in the county that create safe and healthy environments for students or workers.
School Award
2010 Wellness by Design School Awards were presented during special ceremonies at school or district offices prior to the end of the current 2009-2010 school year. For more on the school awards, see the Wellness by Design School Awards Website.
Worksite Award
