Reducing Mortgage Fraud and Crime Related to Vacant Properties

Description

The Community Foreclosure Accountability and Renewal Program will expand and enhance the use of the existing foreclosure data "early warning system" in identifying mortgage fraud and use computer-generated mapping programs to identify patterns of foreclosure, vacancies and related criminal activity in Hennepin County to assist prosecutors investigating and prosecuting mortgage fraud crime, and to support data sharing among local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, neighborhood organizations, and community-based housing assistance providers.
