Hennepin County Public Health Protection continually builds the county’s capacity to respond to large-scale public health emergencies by:

  • Working cooperatively with federal, state and local agencies, and with hospitals and clinics
  • Communicating to ensure that county residents have effective and accurate information
  • Investigating infectious disease outbreaks
  • Intervening to control the spread of disease
  • Coordinating emergency responses
