North Star Plans

North Star Plans provides health care coverage for seniors ages 65 and above living in the following Minnesota counties: Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott and Washington. Metropolitan Health Plan (MHP) offers three plans in 2009:

MHP North Star Advantage

North Star Advantage is not just an efficient, cost-effective way to get your Medicare-provided health services through MHP; it is also a service that provides education about healthy living and the challenges of graceful aging.

MHP North Star Advantage Basic

North Star Advantage Basic Plan is MHP's mid-level Advantage plan that includes Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage. This could be the plan for you if you only take a few prescription drugs.

MHP North Star Advantage Plus

North Star Advantage Plus is MHP’s most comprehensive Medicare Advantage plan. This plan offers coverage of Medicare Part D prescription drugs including extra coverage of the “donut hole” that is not normally covered by Medicare Part D.
