NOTICE OF OFFICES TO BE FILLED AT THE 2010 STATE GENERAL ELECTION
Notice is hereby given that a general election will be held in Hennepin County on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 for the purpose of electing candidates for the offices listed below. The filing period for these offices begins at 8:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 18, 2010, and ends at 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 1, 2010. Note: Filing offices will be closed Monday, May 31, 2010 in observance of Memorial Day.
The place of filing for federal offices is the Office of the Secretary of State, State Office Building, Room 180, 100 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., St. Paul, MN 55155-1299.
The place of filing for state and judicial offices is with either the Office of the Secretary of State or with the county in which the candidate resides. For state candidates residing in Hennepin County the filing location is Hennepin County Elections Division office, Public Service Level (Skyway Level), Hennepin County Government Center, 300 South 6th Street, Minneapolis.
Candidates for county offices must file with Hennepin County Elections, Public Service Level (Skyway Level), Hennepin County Government Center, 300 South 6th Street, Minneapolis.
Candidates for municipal offices must file with the municipal clerk. Candidates for school district offices must file with the school district clerk. Please check with your city or school district clerk for more specific information.
Candidates may file in person or by mail. Candidates who will be absent from the state during the entire filing period may arrange to file, in person, prior to departure.
New vacancies in Judicial Offices may affect this notice. An official Notice of Filing will be issued April 27, 2010. This notice is provided pursuant to Minnesota Statutes section 204B.33.
