The Hennepin County Elections Division provides voter registration and, under Minnesota Statute, election administration for federal, state and county elections. Duties include the administration of over 700,000 voter registration records, candidate filings, ballot preparation, absentee voting, and compilation of election results, campaign finance reporting, and providing election related information to the public in even-numbered years and for federal, state and county elections.
The office also provides voter registration and administrative support to cities and schools who under Minnesota Statute Chapters 205 and 205A administer their local elections.
