The Medical Reserve Corps of Hennepin County (MRC-HC) is a countywide resource of health professionals and other volunteers who strengthen our community by preparing for and responding to local public health and medical emergencies and assisting with key ongoing public health initiatives.
The MRC-HC goal is to have pre-identified, trained and credentialed volunteers ready to assist medical response professionals during large-scale emergencies that threaten local public health – be it an outbreak of SARS or influenza, mass injuries from a chemical spill or a rapidly spreading, terrorist-launched illness. MRC-HC volunteers also can elect to assist with key public health initiatives during non-emergency times.
