The holidays always provide opportunities for us to warm a heart or two, and in the process, our own. You can spread holiday cheer by participating in the Giving Partners Holiday Program. Through this program you can provide gifts for families or individuals in our community who have the greatest need.
One way to participate is by coordinating the program for a group. One donor group decorated their company tree with ornaments with the first name of a client and her/his wish list. Others combine holiday celebrations with wrapping parties. The only limit is your creativity.
All donations to the Giving Partners Holiday Program are tax-deductible and receipts are provided. As always, 100% of all donated funds go directly to our clients.
County staff identify clients who are without other resources and who would benefit from your help. If you choose to purchase gifts we will provide you with the first names of the individuals, their ages, sizes, genders, and ethnicity along with a wish list of ideas to help you personalize your gifts. Because of data privacy, we ask that you deliver the gifts to our agency or arrange for the clients’ referring worker to pick up donated items from you.
Checks should be made out to the "Special Gift Fund." Please write “Giving Partners” in the check's memo section.
Our clients appreciate having the opportunity to buy gifts for their children or to buy groceries for a holiday meal. Teens, seniors and single adults also need to be remembered at this time of year. Many disabled adults have few resources and spend their holidays alone. Your gift can brighten their lives.
