This database allows you to obtain information on sales of real estate conducted by the Sheriff to foreclose mortgages and liens. It is updated once every business day at 6:00 P.M. Keep in mind, the entries are not necessarily up to date. After verifying the sale date in the notice of sale, if you have reason to believe a sale was to occur, but do not see it, check the date range feature to see how current the records are. Alternatively, some properties that are prepared for foreclosure sale are not presented to the Sheriff for sale, either due to cancellation or postponement. Contact the law firm that prepared the sale to ask about a cancellation or postponement.
Minnesota Statutes provide a redemption period for foreclosed properties (see on the right under "Related Links").
Hennepin County Sheriff's Office does not warrant the accuracy of the foreclosure information shown here. Much of it is gathered and presented by law firms who prepare foreclosures. In addition, the status of sale information can change after its original presentation due to court order, or corrective actions, or other reasons. Users of the information are responsible for verifying its accuracy. Employees of the sheriff's office are prohibited from giving legal advice. Consult an attorney on all real estate transactions.
