Several county departments have relocated to the 701 Building in downtown Minneapolis. The departments that are moving are Environmental Services, Housing, Community Works & Transit, and Public Works Financial Management & Accounting.

Accessing the 701 Building

The 701 Building is located in downtown Minneapolis and is accessible by numerous bikeways, bus lines and light rail transit (from the Government Center Plaza station).

There is no free parking at the 701 Building. Paid parking is available nearby in the Center Village Ramp, the Armory, other parking ramps, surface parking lots and metered street parking.

Deliveries

The 701 Building has a loading dock for deliveries. An appointment needs to be made for any deliveries that will use the loading dock and service elevator at the 701 Building.

Please work with your county staff contact to make an appointment for your delivery.

For small deliveries and pick-ups, temporary short-term parking is available. Please contact your county staff contact for more information. 

What will not change

Business hours, email addresses, phone numbers and website addresses will not change.

Environmental Services business hours Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Submitting invoices

Vendors should continue to submit invoices according to arrangements made with county staff and in accordance with the county's purchasing process that went into effect in 2011.
